Everytime I get into a discussion about Boy Scouts with someone down South, they always ask me "are you an Eagle Scout?" and I respond, "No, I was a Life Scout." And they look at me with such disapproval, like I'm the ultimate failure.

I've had the same thing happen to me whenever it comes up. The problem is most non-scouts only know the term Eagle Scout so that's all they can contribute to the conversation.

I'm surprised the Southerners know what a boy scout is. That's 20th century talk boy.

Keep in mind, they're pretty much still stuck in the 1860s. Sweet tea, chicken, being fat and sweaty, and clearly the war is what they're about.

Sure it was Dakota. That is what Mike was trying to do. Pretty good at it, isn't he?
