A question for those of you in college...

I bought Parrells, a software program that will allow me to use Windows on my Mac. I am thinking about getting Troopmaster or some other Boy Scout tracking program. However, I need Windows to operate these programs because they do not make Mac versions.

I do not want to pay $200 or more for Windows when this will be the only program I would probably use it for. The question is... as a college student, could you buy a copy for me, and how much would it be? If I decide to go further with this.

I'm not sure how all of that stuff works at the U and what kind of deals I could get you. I know Mike Linnemann showed you some kind of deal on a different program one time that you were thinking about getting. So if he or maybe Sergio could tell me how to do this I might be able to help you out Steve. But I myself avoid all things computer.

You could buy Windows 7 starter. There are limitations, such as being unable to change your background, but if you are only using it for one program it shouldn't bother you much. I know there are other limitations so read up about them.
