Hear ye, Hear ye:
Citizens of Pleasantville! We will be building a moat outside the city for defensive purposes.
Those who wish to help our building team and garrison will be paid 1 gp per 4 hour day worked. (We must keep our economy up by still working, and we will only work Monday-Friday.) This is a great opportunity for journeymen, those not yet master's of their trade or the young and strong to make some money out of a little work.
To dig and fill the moat, it should take one lunar month.
I will be personally helping along with my fellow lords.
No one will be turned away if honestly desiring to help.
A jousting match and fair will commemorate the finishing of the moat.
As a reminder, longsword, followed by longbow training will still be Saturdays after the noon cleric prayer bells. Free longswords will be given to new members as a gift from Mayor Urza
A new system is being working into our city. I've noticed that the city of Rodun is considerably cleaner than our city. Let us keep our fair city "fair." Free waste receptacles will be distributed at the moat commemoration fair. Use these to dispose of waste. A waste manager will be hired to collect the waste on a weekly basis.
We will use the waste as fertilizer for a city garden outside the city gates, in between the wall and the moat. Large goards and vegtables will be grown for the harvest festival.
The bootmaker's guild has found to have made a defective product. In terms with their contract, they will be forced to fix any defective boots. Please go to them Saturday to fix incorrectly made boots free of charge. The revenue lost on their busy day of saturday will be their penalty.
And finally a reminder to the parents of small children, the forest of blackness is a very real danger. Do not bring them when we are harvesting timber from the forest or EVER bring them within sight of the forest without a guide, soldier, caravan or large group.
Prosper people,
- Mayor Urza |
