Man, I had no idea how much the jamboree could cost per person. $795 just for the jamboree alone?

When you get used to paying $15 dollars per weekend campout you forget how much the high adventure stuff can cost. (especially when your parents FORCE you to go, and therefore must cover the costs)Smile

Ouch, that's pretty steep.
Probably gas and food prices, both are ridiculous.

I see you have read the blog Sergio.

Yeah, the Jambo in 2010 is going to take some major cash this time around. A lot more then I had planned on spending.

Yea, I did read the blog, and an estimate of "$2000 and $2500 per participant" for the entire trip, I can for sure see why you'd be hesitant.

Do Scoutmasters, or leaders, not get any sort of discount...or is that just not something that ever happens?
