Sadly I am going to agree with Alex here. What is the point of having a portable hole if you are not going to use it? Besides, just don't do something stupid like walk into a trap where you are surrounded by invisible minotaurs, have to kill a couple black dragons and a few green dragons, and SHOULD of won (the DM screwed us over!) and lose a girdle of storm giant strength plus a whole portable hole of random magic. Then the one person who lives decides to keep a plate mail +1 instead of anything else. (sigh) So if you don't do anything stupid like that you won't have to worry!

And yes, we were screwed over...I stand by my word.

if we would get 10 magical items everytime we play like the cougars (sarcastic) then we would probably take it with 1st levels, as it is....we've gotten like 2 nice magic so we dont take it out unless it's gonna be very very safe...but yea obviously we will take it out...just if someone else has a portable hole then ours isnt needed....

I agree with Mike. The only time it's been left at home was when we played with people who had their own magical hole. No need to chance it with ours too.

DnD for newer guys also? Also, I want that horn because it doesn't do much. Summons 10 guys to run up to you, take out their swords, and kill themselves. If we had that Steve we would use that all the time and we still wouldn't benifit from it much. In town, on the road out of boredom, when a random attack happens at night just to scare whatever comes at us.
