Melrose Boy Scout Troop 68 Forum

Ransom Butkowski, who was a member of Troop 68 several years ago before moving out of the area, was killed in a car accident Wednesday night north of Melrose. I thought those of you who knew him would like to know.

I couldn't remember who he was at first...so of course I googled him. Is it weird that his name came up first for the troops site, (he advanced in 2000) instead of like a hundred headlines for what happened just below it? I guess google knows it's priorities.

Anyway, now I remember, and I also read Ben Salzls dad was a part of the accident too. I guess he's at St. Cloud hospital.

Well, his dad is in a coma. From what I hear, their dad was helping him out of a ditch for whatever reason and were walking across the road while talking and a car hit them. I think it was reallly foggy that night so that is why. They flew his dad over to the St. Cloud hospital and they aren't sure if he is going to make it. I hope he does and recovers because he has 5 kids right now and has a farm.

That is what I overheard though.
