So, I turned in my money for an outing yesterday, and what do I see in Steve's house? A monster manual. But not just any monster manual, oh no. A God's and Demi God's monster manual. When I was there Steve told me about a God he might throw at the older guys. Zues, with 400 hit points, 25+ strength, a +5 lightning hammer that can only be used by someone with 25 strength, an instant hit attack that does 1-100 damage and stuns anyone within fighting range.
Nice knowing you Cooncarin and Lucky, I will make sure to bury your ashes. _________________ Name: Oswald

Thor would be an outcast from a planet called Earth who was banished to a planet called Tenne. The residents of Tenne do not view him as a god. _________________ Scoutmaster

So the reason he is attacking humans is because he is mad at the people of Tenne because they do not view him as a god and the reason the gods don't accept him is because the don't view him as a god or they don't want the humans to rebel.
Why was he outcast from Earth? It could tell us if he is an evil god or just misunderstude. If he is nice maybe I could be freinds with him and make peace between him and the humans and use him for my on selfish battles. If he is evil I will fear for my life. |

Cooncarin fears very little. Especially if he's with Lucky. Or Lytle. But yea Thor would be a challenge. _________________

Gods can be killed, learn your mythology.
They can be created, if you know your AD&D 2nd edition (Vecna)
Usually in killing a "demigod," which he would be, just takes a while, a large party, keeping your distance, and having a lot of magic. One of Steve's older villains, demigorgon, was a demigod and he was killed.
But Thor or Zeus or whatever would be fundamentally good... Now either Urza is becoming a paladin (unlikely), or an equally impressive foe is being brewed for the 4th of July game when Bwent comes home. But I've seen plenty of villains disappear before we even got to fight them-drow elves, major minor mage, the beast at Tasur's etc etc etc
Ha, I gave him that book too.
Neat huh? |

Gods can die...but from what I know they have a tendancy to just disappear right before anybody can kill them. (As Mike alluded to) It wouldn't hurt to have another god on your side helping. _________________

Gods tend to just go away after they feel they are no longer needed and I believe only bronze or magic can hurt a god at least that is the way it is in greek mythology and Zues is possibly the cruelest of all the greek gods but nicer then the titans.
Theme of this conversation. D&D much like mythology is confusing and lacks reality and I enjoy both. |
